Robbery suspect in Brazil entered a convenience store and drew his gun, only to be shot multiple times in a situation in which everyone was armed.
Four individuals in plain clothes standing in line to check out when a door opens and the would-be robber enters the business with his gun drawn.
The robber is shot immediately by one of the off-duty officers. The other men all draw their guns as well, some pointing at the robber and others walking toward the door to be sure accomplices are not on their way in.
The condition of the would-be robber is unknown, but he did not appear to move after falling to the ground.

The suspect did not move after he was shot because he was DOA.
This is now NOT to rob a convenience store.
In Brazil, all firearms are required to be registered with the minimum age for gun ownership being 25. It is illegal to carry a gun outside a residence, and a special permit is granted to certain groups, such as law enforcement officers.
The would be robber got shot because there were 4 people that were armed.
These 4 people were off duty police and had a special permit to carry a gun.
Only police, people in high-risk professions and those who can prove their lives are threatened are eligible to receive gun permits. Anyone caught carrying a weapon without a permit faces up to four years on prison.
But Brazil also tops the global list for gun murders.
Bottom line brazil does not allow citizens to defend themselves, therefore the statistics tell the story.
Before you can get a gun permit you have to prove your life has been threatened.
But it only takes 1 time for your life to be threatened and that could be the first and last time.
No wonder brazil tops the global list for gun murders.
In the United States the four people could have been citizens with concealed carry pemits obtained without having to prove their life had been threatened beforehand. A big difference.
I am glad I do not live in brazil.
